When the AIR Group approached Ladies Carp Team England about sponsoring the team the timing couldn’t have been better. The AIR Group had just formed and the ladies team had just had conformation that they would be hosting the Women’s World Championships for 2020. Covid then hit and the 2020 and then 2021 World Championships were cancelled. However it’s recently been confirmed that England will be hosting the event for 2022 and couldn’t be more excited to have the AIR Group backing for the team to tie in with this momentous moment for Women’s Carp Fishing in England.

England were the first country to form an official Women’s team. Ladies Carp Team England has two main goals; firstly to win, and secondly to encourage and inspire more women into carp fishing. One of the AIR Group’s main focuses is looking at the long-term future of our sport, so the partnership is very fitting. The World Championships is set to be an event to remember for both English carp fishing and women in angling and to have the AIR Group and all the tackle shops that it represents involved will highlight carp fishing England and its grass roots.
